Approve actions

Most actions run as soon as your AI agent asks. A few move money or can't be undone, so when an AI agent runs one, Rinhelp holds it as an approval until a teammate decides. When you run one yourself in the app, it runs at once.

Which actions need approval

The Actions reference marks every action that Needs approval, and says when only an owner can decide it. Rin's refunds and cancellations for a customer wait for a teammate the same way.

  1. Your AI agent runs the action and gets back a link to the approval instead of a result. It shows you the link. Nothing has happened yet.
  2. The link opens the approval in Rinhelp. Sign in if asked. It shows what the AI agent wants to do, why, and which conversation it belongs to.
  3. Choose Approve or Reject. Rinhelp then shows "Approved by" or "Rejected by" with your name. If an approved action didn't go through, Rinhelp shows why and the approval is closed. If Rinhelp couldn't confirm it went through, it offers Try again, which is safe within a day: it won't happen twice.

Any teammate can decide an approval, including one filed from their own AI agent, unless the actions reference says only an owner can. It also shows in its conversation, and its inbox row reads Approval waiting and names who decides.

Your AI agent can check how an approval stands with approval_show, and carry on once you've decided.

Never by chat

Typing "yes" or "go ahead" to your AI app approves nothing. Rinhelp doesn't read chat. Only your click on Approve in Rinhelp counts, and an AI agent can never press it. The same goes for the confirmation prompts some AI apps show before an action runs: they are the app's own check and don't approve anything in Rinhelp.

Every action that changed something is in the action log, under Settings > AI agents, with who asked, who approved and the outcome.
