Import your help center articles

Your AI agent copies your old help center's articles and sections into Rinhelp, in the same order, with their images, dates and draft or published state. It's the first step of Move to Rinhelp with your AI agent, and you can do it from a chat app or a coding agent.

What comes across

  • Articles in your default language. Translations stay behind.
  • Sections. Each top-level category or collection in your old help center becomes a section. Anything nested deeper goes into its top-level section, since Rinhelp sections don't nest.
  • Order. Sections and the articles in each keep the order they had.
  • Text and images. The agent turns each article into plain formatted text. Rinhelp copies each image, so your articles don't depend on the old help desk.
  • Drafts and dates. Drafts stay drafts, and published articles stay published. Each article keeps the date it was written and last updated.
  • Old addresses. The agent saves each article's old address, so old links can lead to it. See Keep your old help center links working.

How the agent does it

The agent sends 25 articles at a time, section by section. If an image can't be copied, it tells you which ones.

It's safe to run again. Sending the same articles again updates the ones it brought before and keeps their place, and images it already copied aren't copied twice. If something stops halfway, the agent sends the same batch again.

When it's done

The agent gives you your new help center's address. Read a few articles there and check the drafts, then publish the ones you want customers to see. Published articles are public, and Rin uses them to answer right away. See Write your help center.

Next, the agent moves on to Import saved replies.
